Management AccountantJob Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, analysing business trends, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making. As the Management Accountant, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to optimise commercial strategies and maximise profitability. Main Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Management and Statutory Accounts:· Take ownership of the management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.· Provide in-depth analysis of financial results, highlighting key trends and insights.· Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper reconciliation of financial data.· Fully support the Financial Controller through the year end audit process2. Performance Metrics and Reporting:· Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance.· Prepare regular financial reports and dashboards for management review.3. Financial Planning and Analysis:· Lead the development and implementation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.· Conduct variance analysis to track performance against financial targets and identify areas for improvement.4. Commercial Strategy:· Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and evaluate commercial strategies.· Provide financial insights to support pricing decisions, promotions, and new product launches.5. Profitability Analysis:· Analyse product and customer profitability, identifying opportunities for margin improvement.· Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact of various business decisions on profitability.6. Financial Modelling:· Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and investment decisions.· Evaluate the financial implications of strategic initiatives and provide recommendations.7. Business Partnering:· Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to understand business dynamics and drivers.· Provide financial information and analysis to senior management helping them make more informed decisions and driving business strategy.8. Risk Management:· Assess financial risks and recommend strategies for mitigating them.· Monitor and report on key financial risk indicators.9. Compliance and Controls:· Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.· Implement and enhance financial processes to strengthen controls.10.
