This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity that combines technical accounting expertise with team leadership and future progression potential into a Financial Controller role.The OpportunityWorking closely with the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the management accounting function, producing accurate financial information and leading a small, supportive team. You will play a key part in shaping financial controls and ensuring compliance, whilst contributing to strategic decision-making within a growing business.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of accurate and timely management accounts with meaningful analysisCash flow forecasting and daily cash managementPreparation and submission of VAT returnsBalance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of the fixed asset registerYear-end account preparation and liaison with external partnersOversight of payment processing, trading activity, and overhead allocationsContinuous improvement of financial processes and systemsRequirementsMinimum ATT qualification; ACA or ACCA part-qualified or qualified is desirableAt least two years' experience in a similar accounting roleStrong Excel skills and familiarity with Xero software (advantageous)Excellent attention to detail and accuracyProactive, adaptable, and confident in communicating financial informationExperience of leading or mentoring colleagues within a finance teamBenefitsSalary between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum, depending on experienceProfit Share Bonus Scheme25 days' annual leave as standard, rising to 30 with length of serviceCompany pension and employee discountsOn-site parking and regular company eventsSupportive and friendly working environmentGenuine career development, with a clear pathway to Financial ControllerThis is a fantastic opportunity for a capable and ambitious Management Accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a forward-thinking, expanding business.If you're a finance professional who enjoys being hands-on, leading by example, and making a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
