Digital Growth & Strategy | MAF Role Purpose:The Manager, Digital Growth & Strategy is responsible to lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and manage high-impact programs that accelerate customer and revenue growth in our eCommerce business, by acting as an independent growth strategy enabler. The role holder is responsible for closely working with the corporate teams – Marketing, Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations as well as Country Ecommerce teams for defining and developing growth plans while managing programs and leading implementation of strategic initiatives within these markets to support sales growth, profitability and customer experience. The role holder also works in close collaboration with the leadership teams at corporate and country to identify short-term improvement and long-term value creating opportunities, by keeping abreast of overall market developments, trends and best practices.Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Country Growth & Revenue Management:Lead and drive the country growth strategy & revenue growth for MAF Retail Digital Markets.Build data-driven quantitative “Revenue Growth Forecast Model”, to be used for country’s monthly & quarterly revenue management and monthly review meetings.Engage in and drive discussions with Corporate and Country leadership across functions (Marketing, Merchandising, Operations) to drive initiatives that support sales & profitability growth for the markets.Drive a data-led decision-making approach by regularly building independent data insights to deep dive into specific pain points affecting country growth and work with corporate & country leadership to solve for these proactively.Strategic Market Growth Opportunities and Growth pilots:Conduct research and study on the market dynamics, trends, competition, best practices and external and internal customer insights.Prepare and present a point of view and an understanding on how to approach these market developments, sharing proposals to the corporate and country leadership teams to promote growth.Growth Pilots: work closely with Corporate Product, Marketing & Technology teams as a strategic enabler in leading Growth Pilots which support the growth agenda across all MAFR Digital Global markets.Fee benchmarking & optimizations:Study delivery fee, service fee, threshold structures, newer fee structures, across global markets and regional players to identify opportunities for fees optimization to contribute to Business Profitability.Prepare recommendations based on market study & internal data benchmarking to build quantitative simulation of profitability uplift and work with Country Ecommerce Heads & Product team to test, review and implement fees & thresholds.Coordination and CommunicationBuild and maintain strong relationships with Country and Corporate senior stakeholders to help achieve organisational goalsContribute as a thought partner to the Director / VP – Digital Growth & Strategy and Country leadership team on ideation and implementation of growth strategy and initiatives to reach overall business goalsPolicies and ProceduresContribute to the review and update of the Digital Growth & Strategy function policies and procedures related and ensure it is implemented and reportedContribute to the development and implementation of relevant policies and proceduresHuman Capital ResponsibilitiesProactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work.Apply and follow MAFR’s Human Capital corporate policies and relevant procedures and instructions.Provide feedback to colleagues, when required.Definition of Success Sales & revenue growth of the markets as per yearly / quarterly targetsLaunch and scaling of key new verticals of business for Retail DigitalIndependently & pro-actively generates insights from data reporting, building recommendations & driving business impactLead and delivery strong growth outcomes from key growth pilotsAbility to build strong working relations with stakeholders across corporate functions & country teams and able to influence change.Functional/Technical CompetenciesMS Excel & MS PowerPoint (Mandatory)Intermediate SQL skills – Ability to query independently to extract data & derive insightsQualification, Experience & Skills:Minimum Qualifications/educationBachelor's degree in engineering or business administration or related field.Master’s Degree in related field is preferredMinimum experience4–7 years of experience in growth, strategy, consulting, or program management roles (eCommerce or consumer tech preferred).Minimum 3+ years in the Retail/e-Commerce, Technology led business is preferred or experience in a high-growth startup environment is preferred.SkillsStrong business acumen in e-commerce, retail industry and able to independently drive insightsExposure to SQL and MS Excel to help derive data & insights independently.Strong project management, and analytical skillsStrong stakeholder management skills and experience of working with multiple teams and ability to build influence without authorityExcellent verbal and written communication skills; expertise in converting technical messages into clear messages that outline why change is needed and that appeals to key business personas. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders in multiple business areas (e.g., marketing, sales, finance, operations, technology).Strong English language skills (Speaking, Reading and Writing)
