JOB SUMMARYThe incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the operational execution of the Group's vendor management function. This role leads a team responsible for vendor onboarding, contract lifecycle management, contract performance tracking, and compliance monitoring with CBTT Guidelines. Key accountabilities include maintaining the vendor database, coordinating due diligence processes, managing vendor stakeholder relationships, and ensuring effective reporting.The position drives operational efficiency through standardized processes, vendor scorecards, and systematic risk assessment, while supervising Vendor Management Officer and a dotted line to the Contract Administrator, to deliver consistent, high-quality vendor management services across the Group.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead enterprise vendor management strategy aligned to Group goalsDevelop and maintain vendor governance framework, policies, and standardsDefine vendor segmentation, tiering, and engagement modelsManage vendor contract portfolio, negotiations, and renewalsStandardize contract clauses, track obligations and complianceDrive cost optimization and value realization across vendorsLead continuous improvement and innovation with supplierImplement vendor risk appetite and tolerances set by Group RiskEnsure compliance with CBTT/material outsourcing requirementsCoordinate regulatory reporting and audit responsesDirect due diligence, assessments, and ongoing risk monitoringPlan and execute vendor audits; track remediation to closureBuild KPIs and scorecards for vendor performance managementRun SLA monitoring, QBRs, and corrective action managementOwn vendor lifecycle: onboarding, changes, and offboardingGovern vendor master data quality and records managementImplement and administer vendor management systems and toolsProvide COE guidance, playbooks, and templates to stakeholdersResolve escalations and disputes with strategic vendorsManage relationships with Legal, Risk, ICT, Finance, and BUsEngage C-suite and strategic vendor executives on governancePrepare clear executive reports, dashboards, and insightsManage budgets; track savings, benefits, and ROI deliveryAdvance supplier diversity and ESG objectives where applicableSafeguard confidentiality and data integrity in vendor recordsCoordinate standard practices across subsidiaries and regionsAt the supervisory level, recruit, coach, and evaluate team membersLead communications and training on vendor governance and riskQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCECandidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related field from a reputable University or other professional qualification from a recognized professional body e.g. CFA, CIMA, ACCA and three (3) years progressive experience in Procurement and Vendor Management, at least one (1) of which must be at a Supervisory LevelOR an Executive Diploma/Diploma and five (5) years progressive relevant experience in the related discipline, at least two (2) of which must be at a Supervisory LevelOR a GMDP Certificate and seven (7) years progressive experience in the related discipline, at least three (3) of which must be at a Supervisory LevelProfessional Certifications/Licensures: (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, MCIPS) or another recognized professional supply chain bodyFamiliarity with regulatory requirements related to third-party management in the financial sectorKnowledge of financial analysis and risk management principlesAbility to interpret and apply policies and regulationsStrong negotiation and conflict resolution skillsAdaptability and willingness to learn new processes and technologiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
