Job SummaryThe Manager of Brand Communications is responsible for managing all franchisee and operator communication strategies, channels and messaging by capturing the voice and tone of the brand in a manner that promotes engagement. This position will partner with Operations and Marketing as well as Enterprise functions to effectively share tactical information to the stores regarding operational procedures, supply chain, training and marketing and digital initiatives. Additionally, this position will serve as a strategic advisor to deploy a communication strategy to sharing the brand’s long-term vision and yearly plans to drive the business. Brand Communications Manager will work closely with the Director of Corporate Communications to ensure that GoTo Foods messages are effectively cascaded to brand franchisees. This position reports to the Director of Brand Communications.Essential FunctionsCommunications CounselProvides internal communications strategic counsel to brand team communicating and engaging with franchisees across brands.Builds relationships with key franchisees to better inform franchisee communications and engagements strategies and initiatives.Proactively brings new ideas to enhance communications through content, channels and distribution.Engages with various departments to take complex, subject matter expert information and instructions to a concise and simple communication ready for distribution.Franchisee CommunicationsResponsible for directing the process, specific content and distribution process for franchisee specific messaging and communications. Channels include, but are not limited to:NewslettersWebinarsExecutive CommunicationsIntranetIn-person meetings and eventsResearch, write and edit and measure all types of communication materials to specific audiences.Create and manage an evolving communication governance approach and process to get timely communications out on a regular cadence as well as urgent communications to be distributed immediately.Works with social media team to showcase franchisees on brand and GoTo Foods LinkedIn page, as well as other owned channels.Operator CommunicationsContributes to the creation of a playbook for communication channel including content pillars and posting cadence.Communicates regularly with brand and training teams to measure the effectiveness of the operator channel and finds process solutions to better enhance communications.Provides linkage in franchisee communications, to channel for operators that is clear and for those who serve as both the franchisee and operator.Franchisee EventsHelps support storytelling in brand messaging at GoTo Foods Global Conference in brand sessions with the customization for each individual brand.Supports brand leadership with Franchisee Advisory Council calls and meetings by organizing content and brand messages.Manages special events, meetings, and conferences designed to increase franchisee engagement across all brands.EducationBachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, business, advertising, or other related field of study Work Experience5+ years of experience in Communications, PR or Marketing preferred. SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to customize messaging for different audiences and channels Experience with email platforms like Emma, Staffbase, etc.Attention to detail in writing, editing and proofreadingStrong organizational skills CertificationsTravel RequirementNone
