Job SummaryManage the execution of Group-wide/Business Unit wide/ regional/ country/ channel/ product expansion strategies and establish long-term relationships with potential key clients and customers in line with business objectivesBusiness MetricsManaging operating departmental budgets and costs where applicable Incremental revenue and EBIT/ GM of near expiring/renewals/new businessGeneral ResponsibilitiesManage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicableManage the execution of Group-wide/Business Unit wide/ regional/ country/ channel/ product expansion strategies to achieve short- and long-term business objectivesIdentify, evaluate and manage business opportunities/leads in securing sales pipeline in line with short- and long-term financial goalsManage research/feasibility studies/market scan, evaluate findings and prepare information for decision-makingManage the negotiation process. Prepare contracts, providing input on proper pricing and contract terms. Identify upselling opportunities and manage contract renegotiations with existing clientsManage the improvement of current Business Development processes and cross-functional collaboration to drive effectiveness and minimize redundancyDrive and coordinate activities related to Business Development workforce capability and client/customer data managementCollaborate with internal stakeholders in identifying upselling opportunities, dealing with negotiations and finalization of contractsEstablish long-term relationships with potential clients/customers with a view to enhancing business opportunitiesLocal and International sourcing, selection and development of consumer goods (brand and own brand)Identification of potential suppliersPrior knowledge of the Myanmar supply market and other Asean marketsLeadership ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee team’s delivery of team/function goals to drive execution against goals setDrive and manage learning and development of team in the area of Business Development and DKSH behavior to achieve team/ function goalsDrive self-learning and improvement in the area of Business Development and DKSH behavior as part of continuous learningFunctional Skills And KnowledgeDemonstrate business development experience in applying business development principles for medium- to large-sized companies in similar industriesDemonstrate business acumen, analytical and business analysis skillsDemonstrate skills in market research and auditProven client and customer account management skillsDemonstrate ability to manage global/regional/country level assignments and projectsDemonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country/-cultural interactionsDemonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)EducationDegree in Business Studies/Marketing preferredOther qualifications related to the technical know-how work area (e.g. engineering, chemical, medical devices, etc.) will be consideredWork ExperienceMinimum five to eight years’ experience in a similar industry, especially in sales, marketing, business development related work, etc.Minimum of two to three years’ experience in a managerial capacity
