About the JobPosition Summary: The Manager, Business Development will be a pivotal leader for Walmart Global E-commerce in Vietnam, tasked with spearheading seller acquisition and onboarding. This role involves recruiting high-potential Vietnamese cross-border sellers to the Walmart International Marketplace, building a robust local seller ecosystem, and driving significant Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) growth. The role will be responsible for developing scalable business strategies and playbooks while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless experience and successful market expansion.Location: Ho Chi Minh City, VietnamAbout The TeamThe Global E-commerce Business Development team is at the forefront of expanding Walmart's international seller base. The team focuses on identifying and recruiting high-potential cross-border sellers from key markets like Vietnam. By building a strong local network and developing scalable playbooks, they are instrumental in driving GMV growth and ensuring the long-term success of the Walmart International Marketplace. Their work is essential to strengthening Walmart's brand presence and creating a robust, seller-centric ecosystem.About The RoleThis is a pivotal, results-driven role where you'll directly impact the growth of our e-commerce business by expanding our seller base in Vietnam. You will be responsible for identifying and recruiting high-potential cross-border sellers, managing the full onboarding journey from training to launch, and ensuring they achieve early success on the platform. A core part of your job is to develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to accelerate GMV and cultivate a robust local seller ecosystem. You'll also build strategic partnerships and collaborate cross-functionally to refine scalable methodologies and drive market expansion.What You'll DoLead Seller Acquisition: Source and pitch high-potential Vietnamese cross-border sellers to join Walmart Marketplace, leveraging Channel Partner networks, seller communities, and localized outreach strategies.Manage Onboarding: Own the full seller onboarding journey, from training to go-live execution, ensuring new sellers quickly adapt to Walmart policies, stay compliant, and achieve early GMV breakthroughs.Develop Local Ecosystem: Build and expand a robust network of local service providers, including logistics, payment, advertising, and operation support, to offer a seamless, one-stop solution for sellers.Create Scalable Playbooks: Develop scalable methodologies for seller acquisition, onboarding, and GMV ramp-up, collaborating with internal teams to refine and implement these frameworks across regions.Drive Seller Awareness: Design and launch seller-facing campaigns, workshops, and programs to raise awareness of Walmart’s cross-border value proposition and drive qualified seller leads.Optimize Performance: Track and optimize seller growth performance using full-funnel metrics and seller lifecycle dashboards, using these insights to iterate Business Development tactics and enhance team efficiency.Ensure Cross-Functional Alignment: Maintain strong collaboration with Seller Management, Logistics, Advertisement, Marketing, and International teams to ensure a seller-centric approach and data-backed business decisions.Represent Walmart: Represent Walmart at industry events, roadshows, and community forums to strengthen brand presence and seller engagement in Vietnam.What You'll BringEducation: Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, E-commerce, or a related field.Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of experience in cross-border e-commerce, business development, marketplace operations, or seller management.Market Expertise: Deep understanding of Vietnam’s e-commerce ecosystem and the cross-border seller landscape.Leadership Track Record: Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of coaching teams, driving execution, and achieving growth targets.
