The ideal candidate is someone experienced in building and managing Business Development Representatives in the software sales industry space. This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable reaching across organizational boundaries, building relationships across the company and driving the development of their team. Sovos is a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to be successful in this role, the candidate must possess high energy to motivate the Business Development Representatives every day, be experienced in managing and executing a pipeline, handling objections, coaching, and managing projects from conception through implementation. Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills are a must.Reporting to the Sr Director of Business Development, the Business Development Manager role is critical to our sales and marketing operations and to the company as a whole.More Specifically, You WillHire, train, and lead a team of hybrid(inbound & outbound) BDRs to ensure steady pipeline contributionDrive Outbound pipeline generation strategies to help BDRs create high-quality opportunitiesManage timely BDR follow up on marketing campaigns to qualify and develop opportunitiesWork closely with marketing, sales, and sales/marketing operations to ensure alignment on your team's strategy and executionOptimize team performance through coaching, enablement, and data-driven decisionsBuild and sustain a culture of high performance and accountability, meeting and exceeding targetsProvide growth opportunities for SDRs to develop into full-cycle sales representativesAct as a mentor and coach while maintaining a positive and motivational work environmentIf based in Sao Paolo – expected to be in the office at least 1 day a weekWhat We Need From YouFluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese (written & spoken)Minimum of 3 years of experience in leadership role managing a team of 6+ BDRsProven track record of exceeding pipeline targets while leading inbound and outbound teamsDeep knowledge of prospecting strategies, lead qualification processes, and sales development best practicesStrong experience with sales tech stack (CRM, sales engagement, intent data, and prospecting tools)Excellent coaching, communication, and organizational skills with executive presenceData- and metrics-driven approach to performance management and strategyPeople leadership: Takes a hands-on approach, providing coaching, feedback, and support to help BDR team members grow and succeedStrategic execution: Translates business objectives into actionable plans, aligning team efforts with pipeline and revenue goalsTechnology proficiency: Skilled in using sales tools to manage workflows, campaigns, and reporting - specifically Salesforce, Salesloft, Sales Nav/ZoomInfoSelf Motivated: Comfortable working in a fast paced environmentConflict management: Approaches tough conversations with empathy, objectivity, and clarity to foster trust and accountabilityWhat Does Sovos Offer You?The tools to enhance your life - because we want you to enjoy your life outside of work and inside!Flexible Time-OffBi-Weekly Meeting Free DaysMentoring ProgramsGlobally recognized Training and Development programsVirtual English Club through Rosetta Stone, and more!Sovos is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing an environment that celebrates diversity and where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and employees.
