The opportunity The Manager, Financial Accounting - Inventory Focus, will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, and Product Teams, to develop and implement inventory provision policies, improve financial processes and support audit and SOX compliance. The position sits in the Finance Department reporting directly to the Director, SOX Compliance.The roleLead the preparation and documentation of the Quarterly Inventory Provision schedules, including inventory reserve memos and related SOX control requirements.Support external audit requests and collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Finance teams to ensure completeness, clarity, and accuracy of inventory-related reporting.Prepare monthly inventory lead sheets and reconcile the stock status reports to the general ledger.Prepare inventory schedules, reconciliations and analysis supporting the inventory adjustments and inventory provision.Partner with the Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to align inventory management strategies and resolve provision-related issues.Identify slow-moving or at-risk inventory and recommend actions to improve profitability and inventory health.Prepare and maintain SOX documentation for all Distribution Centers, ensuring strong internal controls and audit readiness.The requirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.CPA, CMA, ACCA certifications are considered as assets.Significant hands-on experience in inventory analysis, inventory reporting, cost/margin analysis, or related operational finance functions.Strong understanding of inventory concepts such as provisions, reserves, net realizable value, margin analysis, SKU profitability, and stock movement.At least 5 years of Inventory Management/Finance experience.At least two (2) years' experience managing a team.Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with ERP systems (JDE, Oracle, SAP, or similar).Strong documentation skills and familiarity with financial controls or SOX processes.High level of attention to detail skills.Strong collaboration and communication skills.Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.Continuous improvement mindset.Confidence operating in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.What's In It For YouJoin a publicly traded company dual-listed on NYSE and TSX with great potentialBe part of a workplace where meaningful connections and teamwork are celebratedFrom local to international, be ready to work alongside a diverse group of colleaguesBenefit from mentorship and continuous development opportunitiesTake advantage of our attractive benefits packagesWe want to get to know you better!
