The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Manager, Financial Services to join the Financial Services Unit. The Manager is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the delivery of financial and workforce services that enable the agency to achieve its objectives, while ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and strong stakeholder engagement.What You Will DoIn the Manager, Financial Services role, you will: Lead the unit to deliver efficient, high-quality financial and workforce support aligned with the agency's strategic objectives. Provide strategic, timely, and authoritative advice on Queensland Government financial management, policies, frameworks, and guidelines. Coordinate the annual budget process and mid-year review in collaboration with cost centre and senior managers. Oversee financial systems to ensure compliance with legislation and QCAA policies. Lead the preparation of annual financial statements in line with Australian Accounting Standards and government reporting requirements. Deliver financial reporting requirements for the State Budget, including Service Delivery Statements and ministerial briefings. Maintain contemporary knowledge of accounting developments and priorities across the public sector and conduct necessary research to address and resolve accounting issues that emerge.
