Department: Regulatory ComplianceReports To: Head InvestigationsGrade: AVPNo of Position: 01Location: Head Office (Islamabad)What is Manager Investigations - MMBL?The primary objective of this role is to work with internal and external stakeholders including Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), Government Officials and all functions of the Bank through effective engagement, planning for sharing information, influencing and negotiating. The role also involves strengthening internal controls and reporting mechanisms as required.What Manager Investigations Does - MMBL?General Responsibilities:Represent the bank’s position before government authorities, including Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), to safeguard the bank’s interests.Support the Head of LEAs Coordination in maintaining strong working relationships with LEAs and ensure the bank’s perspective is accurately communicated.Identify concerns raised by LEAs during investigations and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.Advise senior management on the potential impact of engagements with LEAs and support mitigation strategies to protect the bank’s interests.Promote a positive image of the bank among ministries, regulatory bodies, LEAs, business partners, and provincial governments.Oversee timely and accurate reporting of information to LEAs related to branch and branchless banking transactions, fraud cases, and other operational matters.Prepare or assist in preparing reports, MIS, and dashboards for review by the Head of LEAs Coordination and CE&CO, ensuring timely submission to relevant stakeholders.Stay updated on regulatory developments and changes impacting LEA coordination and the banking sector.Encourage a culture of ethical conduct and high awareness standards within the organization.Conduct gap analyses after investigations and recommend improvements to preventive and detective controls in coordination with LEAs.Follow up on action items and requirements raised by LEAs.Provide support for inquiries or requests from competent authorities, including LEAs, for information and records as required by law.Manage LEA and government requisitions related to various investigations.Monitoring and Analysis:Coordinate with DFS counterparts and other stakeholders to address regulatory bottlenecks.Ensure accurate and timely reporting of banking operations data to LEAs.Prepare and present comprehensive analytical reports for senior management and regulatory authorities, highlighting key insights and recommended actions.What are we looking for and what does it take to be Manager Investigations - MMBL?Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution.5–8 years of relevant professional experience.At least 2–3 years in senior or command-level roles focusing on government relations and stakeholder management.Experience as an officer in Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) is preferred.Prior experience in regulatory affairs will be an added advantage.Ability to analyze complex business and regulatory issues and provide informed insights.Essential SkillsProficiency in MS Office.Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.Effective time management and team management skills.Excellent negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to work under pressure with strong resourcefulness.Strong decision-making skills and adaptability.Conflict management and persuasive communication skills.Openness to constructive feedback and commitment to continuous learning.Desired SkillsExceptional report writing and presentation skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to quickly understand banking compliance and regulatory requirements.About MMBL:Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. is providing banking services to over 48 million registered users including 20+ million monthly active customers across Pakistan.
