The OpportunityThe High-Power Laboratory is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 as an independent testing station and is a member of SATS Certification and STL (Short-circuit Testing Liaison) and we are one of the few unique High-Power Laboratories in the world.The Laboratory is a large test facility for high voltage products with a variety of non-routine electrical and mechanical test procedures. Its main purpose is to perform high quality testing, both in the development of new products, and in certification of the products for a global market. The clients to the Lab come from both Hitachi global organization and also external Hitachi companies.Being a part of, and responsible of, the support function, Workshop and Test Mounting, at the High-Power Laboratory is an important and interesting challenge as well as a key role to keep the Laboratory organization and operation at the forefront.The team, that consists of approx. 10 persons, handles both mounting of test objects and building of test setups for 5 different laboratories. Also, the team support some testing done on external locations, as well as support maintenance with resources.Work also need to be done to maintain some systems in the Lab and special tasks related to development testing also happen in this dynamic operation.We are very interested in learning more about you and what you can contribute with, so we encourage you to apply even if not all requirements are met. There will be a focus on handling this expert team of fitters and assemblers where your personality will be the final piece.How You´ll Make An ImpactDrive a positive team culture within the Laboratory, serving our labs and clients in the best way possible.Understand and support the need from the Laboratory units, then drive the actions that need to be taken.As a member of the management team, you will report the status of projects and key targets.Support maintenance and projects with resources.Contribute to strategic planning and the development of the Laboratory.Responsible of the overall performance for this department.Your backgroundTechnical competence with a Bachelor degree or equivalent acquired competence.Fluent Swedish language is a priority; good English is needed. Other languages is positive.Proven managerial experience for at least 5 years.Experience of successfully driving team culture and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, preferably within an advanced workshop/production unit.Familiarity with production engineering, R&D, and or, Design is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills, being flexible, but not lose focus.Good communication, presentation, and influencing skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
