Job SummaryManage and monitor inventory operations to ensure inventory is planned at optimal level to meet target turns, working capital performance and revenue growthGeneral ResponsibilitiesManage operating departmental budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient allocation of resources, where applicableManage and develop inventory management strategies, guidelines and processes to ensure inventory is planned at optimal level to meet target turnsDevelop demand planning and improve forecasting tools to maximize service delivery performance, inventory turns, working capital performance and revenue growthManage and adjust inventory plans to respond to product demand changes and employ an appropriate strategy for each inventory class Manage existing inventory using material requirements planning (MRP) system to maximum effect for optimum inventory scheduling and forecastingMonitor and highlight over/under stocking and propose strategies to improve forecasting processDevelop and review scorecard with internal stakeholders to monitor service levels, progress against business objectives and take corrective actions as requiredManage and monitor cost and efficiency improvements for inventory management to achieve the optimal level of inventory holdings versus fulfillment Working closely with the logistics and product managers on the inventory control of stock levelsFunctional Skills And KnowledgeDemonstrate in-depth understanding of inventory planning methodologies and systemsDemonstrate working understanding of distribution centers, distribution and transportProven experience in inventory management , procurement systems and logistics operationsDemonstrate working knowledge of SAP - material requirements planning (MRP) systemProven experience in the consumer goods, healthcare and pharmaceutical industriesDemonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skillsDemonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in international/cross-cultural interactionsDemonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spokenEducationBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
