Position SummaryThe Inter Array Cable (IAC) Project Manager will oversee the development and execution of offshore wind farm inter array cable EPCI scope. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in subsea cables, and a deep understanding of offshore wind farm operations.The ideal candidate will have 10 to 15 years of experience in the offshore wind industry in similar roles, or a significant experience in managing projects in the oil and gas sector or large and complex infrastructure projects, in similar scope assignments.Key Responsibilities Overall Offshore Wind project managementAs part of the Project EPCI leadership team, contribute to building the team, collaborating with other package and function leads, developing the project management framework, and supporting the decision making, risk identification , interface and other cross package processes. IAC Package Management:Develop and implement comprehensive IAC Package Execution Plan, that can deliver on the key project objectives.Lead the cable package scope, and the IAC package delivery team.Act as the primary point of contact for all cable package related matters, liaising with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.Develop a baseline budget and execution schedule.Monitor project progress, against baseline budget & schedule.Identify risks to the budget and schedule and development & implement mitigation plans.Resolve , together with the team of engineers and package leads, technical issues and optimize project outcomes. Technical Oversight:Manage Pre FEED / Basic design for the Inter Array Cable, export cable and shore landing scopes.Ensure that Execution phase design documents, installation procedures, and quality plans are developed up to the required standards.Manage cable design , manufacturing , installation and commissioning scopes ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.Oversee risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to cable design, manufacturing , installation and operation.Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to optimize design and installation methodologies. Supplier and Contractor Management:Lead the procurement and contracting activities related to the IAC work package from the market engagement, through the development of the contracting strategy, the pre-qualification , tendering, tender clarification/normalization/negotiation, to the contracting and contract management.Conduct supplier evaluations and manage contract negotiations with cable manufacturers and installation contractors.Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and best practices. Support and Troubleshooting:Provide technical support and troubleshooting throughout the lifecycle of the cable system.Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge RequiredProven experience in managing subsea cable projects, preferably in offshore wind.10 to 15 years of experience in the project or package manage roles within the offshore wind industry, or within large and complex industrial project management.Strong understanding of inter-array cable design, installation techniques, cable protection systems, cable burial and shore landing Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, and DNV.Experience working with offshore installation contractors and managing supplier relationships. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Extensive work experiences the international environment of offshore EPCI. Knowledge of relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental protocols. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Excellent leadership capabilities, communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team. Strong analytical, influencing, negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills. In-depth knowledge of offshore wind and the commercial aspects of the offshore market/scope. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Japanese language skill a plus.Are you ready to engineer a greener future?
