CytoBuoy is looking for a pragmatic Manager Operations and Projects, someone who dares to make decisions, stays closely connected to daily operations, and can easily empathize with both employees and clients.Your Responsibilities:You will directly manage a team of 7 engineers from different disciplines and 1 office manager and work closely with the sales representative. You lead and mentor the production and R&D. Together with your team, you ensure that all agreements are met and that the team delivers.You guarantee a high-quality project process.You ensure customer satisfaction through a smooth and efficient project flow.You identify opportunities to improve and professionalize processes within operations and projects.You monitor and report on operational and financial performance, including cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.You are not afraid to make decisions and steer the team on a daily basis.You are based in the Netherlands, with a willingness to travel (approximately 5% of the time).Your qualificationsYou hold a bachelor’s degree (HBO or WO level) in a relevant field, preferably supplemented by management and/or leadership training, and have at least 8 years of relevant experience of which at least 4 years in a managerial role.You have relevant experience within an innovative technical company.You possess excellent communication skills and are highly self-reliant.Strong understanding of international business environments, including cultural, and logistical considerations.You can effectively translate the organization’s strategic direction into operational goals for the team. Personal qualitiesYou are approachable and a natural connector.You give the team autonomy but know when to step in and take control when needed.You are reflective and able to put things into perspective.You are eager, always seeking added value and ways to stand out.You are pragmatic — a reliable and critical sparring partner for the Managing Director and Sales Representative.Company ProfileAt CytoBuoy, we specialize in advanced imaging particle analysis instruments and software that empower researchers and professionals worldwide in aquatic science, real-time water monitoring, aquaculture, harmful algal bloom detection, and water quality analysis.
