Acting as the link between warehouse operations, IT teams, and management, the Key User ensures smooth system performance, provides end-user support and training, and participates in system upgrades or process improvement initiatives.Execution of System Driven Warehouse activities to ensure maximum productivity and work load balancing.Duties And ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesSystem Operations & SupportServe as the first point of contact for warehouse staff on WMS-related issues.Monitor system performance and ensure transactions are processed correctly.Troubleshoot errors and escalate unresolved issues to the WMS/IT support team.Test new functionalities, upgrades, or patches before deployment. Manage UAT for system updates and changes.Process & Data ManagementEnsure accuracy of master data (SKU setup, bin locations, stock attributes).Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock adjustments, and reconciliation.Validate inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse transactions in the system.Report system or process anomalies to management.Training & Knowledge SharingTrain and guide warehouse staff on WMS processes and best practices.Update and maintain user manuals and process documentation.Act as a subject matter expert during audits and compliance checks.Continuous ImprovementAnalyze daily operations for process bottlenecks or system inefficiencies.Suggest improvements in workflows and system usage.Support new project rollouts, WMS implementations, and integrations.Travel: Reasonable local and international travel requirement to use knowledge, skills and experience in support of relevant DSV business objectives.Warehouse Management Systems: Knowledge of key functions and features of systems used by DSV, in support of solutions development, sales activities and implementations; Knowledge of RedPrairie/ Blue Yonder/ JDA will be beneficial.Support: Support current instances of WMS implementations;Assessments of current WMS solutionsLiaison with various global IT teams including EDI. IT Solutions and support, Global BCM application engineeringExample of Daily Activities:Log in and verify WMS system availability and functionality.Monitor inbound processes (receipts, put-away confirmations).Monitor outbound processes (picking, packing, shipping confirmations).Check system alerts, error logs, and resolve data discrepancies.Support warehouse staff with scanning or transaction errors.Perform spot checks on system transactions vs. physical stock.Run daily reports (inventory accuracy, order status, system exceptions).Update supervisors on issues affecting productivity.Conduct on-floor user support and coaching when staff encounter system-related difficulties.Document issues and escalate recurring/systemic problems.DSV – Global transport and logisticsWorking at DSV means playing in a different league.As a global leader in transport and logistics, we have been on an extraordinary journey of growth.
