Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtechThe Manager, Packaging Development is responsible to lead a team of package development professionals who develop, qualify and commercialize packaging solutions for the Surgical Sports and Spine businesses with DePuy Synthes. In addition, this leader and their team are responsible for maintaining robust packaging solutions through a product’s entire lifecycle, with a focus on quality, compliance, service, and cost efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesUnder limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:Drives accountability for all activities associated with the end-to-end delivery of new and updated package designs including request intake, concept development, testing, validations, approvals and commercialization.Identifies and mitigates Package Development risks. Drive quality output from each process from supplier and design inputs, through execution, and output.Ensures responses to quality system findings (CAPA, nonconformance, audits) are consistent, robust, appropriate, and timely.Partners with Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, and Packaging/Labeling PMOs to ensure all global regulations are anticipated, understood, and adhered to on a timely basis for Package Development.Develops talent and ensure the team’s quality and compliance skills are continuously advancing.Delivers projects using appropriate Process Excellence and project management tools and provides leadership to their team to grow their expertise in these areas.Maintains project prioritization and communications with all levels of the organization.Serves as a member of the DePuy Synthes Technical Operations Leadership TeamDevelops new and efficient business processes to improve quality, service and cost.Tracks and reports department performance metrics.Understands and follows development processes accurately and as applicable while maintaining high qualityMitigates project risks through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques.Actively coordinates the work of multiple team members.Leads multiple parallel projects of different complexity and at various stages.
