Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.Your ImpactAs International PR & Communications Manager, you will own and execute Axon’s global public relations strategy across all markets outside of the United States — including EMEA, APAC, LATAM, Canada, and the Commonwealth. In this highly cross-functional role, you’ll bring Axon’s voice to life across diverse geographies, managing a portfolio of regional PR agencies, supporting localized storytelling, and ensuring global alignment with Axon’s brand narrative.You will be the international extension of Axon’s central PR & Communications function, working closely with regional stakeholders in Sales & Government Affairs, global marketing leads, and the U.S.-based Comms team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, is energized by complexity, and brings strong media judgment and executional focus to the table.What You’ll DoLead International PR Strategy and ExecutionOwn and drive Axon’s international public relations strategy across EMEA, APAC, LATAM, Canada, and the CommonwealthAct as the functional leader for all earned media efforts outside of the U.S., managing day-to-day PR operations and working closely with internal and external partners including Government AffairsShape the external voice of Axon internationally, ensuring stories are tailored to local context while aligned with global narrativesManage Global PR Agencies for Maximum Efficiency and ImpactServe as the primary point of contact and operational lead for all international PR agency partnersSet goals, oversee scopes of work, and ensure strong execution and ROI across a limited pool of agencies supporting multiple marketsCreate a unified way of working with PR vendors: standardize reporting, messaging reviews, and cadence to avoid duplicated effortsProvide coaching, feedback, and editorial review to ensure consistent tone, quality, and outputDrive Campaign and Product Communications Across RegionsPartner with Product Marketing and Regional Sales to plan and execute product launches, milestone announcements, and regional newsDraft, localize, and deploy press materials including media pitches, customer stories, Q&As, op-eds, and press releasesCoordinate media outreach and regional press opportunities, identifying relevant spokespeople and aligning with internal subject matter expertsOwn the calendar and planning for international earned media — managing overlapping campaigns across time zonesSafeguard Reputation and Support Sensitive CommunicationsSupport regional issue management, PR risk mitigation, and high-stakes announcementsMonitor public sentiment and media activity related to Axon and proactively flag reputational risksAct as the lead international comms advisor during sensitive or fast-moving moments, escalating to U.S. PR leadership as neededLiaise with Legal, Government Affairs, and Policy teams to ensure narratives are accurate and appropriate for public audiencesAlign with the U.S.-based PR & Comms Team for Global ConsistencyServe as the bridge between Axon’s International Marketing org and the U.S.-based PR & Comms teamEnsure consistent narrative development and comms governance across geographiesParticipate in global PR planning, editorial calendars, and process improvementsShare international insights to help shape corporate messaging and strategyMeasure, Optimize, and Share International PR PerformanceImplement global standards for PR tracking, reporting, and media coverage analysis across all international regionsDeliver region-by-region performance updates with actionable insights and benchmarkingRecommend adjustments in messaging, markets, or channels based on media feedback and story pickupAdvocate for the international team’s contributions in global forums, helping raise visibility and secure future investmentWhat You Bring5–8 years of experience in public relations, media, or communications, ideally at a global companyDemonstrated success in managing multiple PR agencies and/or vendorsStrong writing, editing, and content development skillsExperience working across multiple geographies or supporting multi-region comms effortsBackground in tech, government, or mission-driven sectors preferredHighly collaborative with strong project management skillsFluent in English; other languages a plusComfortable navigating ambiguity and working across time zonesWork Location: This role is based out of our Amsterdam office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.
