Job Description

Overview:As a Marine-Commercial & Procurement Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the procurement processes and commercial operations within the marine sector. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and enhance overall operational performance. This is a part-time position.What you’ll do:Procurement 50%Lead procurement management activities, ensuring timely sourcing of materials and services to support production planningCreate and issue purchase orders for materials, components, and supplies in alignment with production and sales forecasts.Ensure timely procurement of goods and services while adhering to quality, cost, and delivery standards.Solicit and evaluate supplier quotations; participate in supplier selection, contract negotiations, and pricing discussions.Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors; monitor vendor compliance with contractual terms.Coordinate with internal departments to forecast material needs and manage purchase requisitions and approvals.Collaborate with the Quality team to address any non-conformances or issues with purchased materials.Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in the system.Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.Manage purchasing processes and track inventory levels effectively.Commercial: 50%Maintain customer engagement and promote customer awareness of Albion Marine Solutions' capabilitiesDevelop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growthConduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being metAct to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing)Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service etc.)Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholdersMonitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior managementAssist in setting financial targets, budget development, and monitoringDevelop commercial proposals and pursue new business opportunitiesProspect new clients and develop new business relationsStrategic planning and management to improve Client results, retention, and developmentOverseeing internal project budgets with the Company and external budgets with the ClientProvide regular reporting to the Company's managementExperienceMaster's degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or a relevant fieldAccreditation or Certification in the field of strategic business development or managementTen years' previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, procurement or relevant experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to staff members at every level of the organizationGoal-oriented, organized team playerSelf-motivated and self-directed.Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.Why you’ll love it hereWe are dedicated to fostering an environment where our employees can thrive both professionally and personally.
