The opportunityAs a Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will be a part of our Regulatory and Company Secretarial team. You will be part of a team who identifies planning opportunities to help clients fulfill compliance responsibilities, avoid penalties as well as minimize compliance burdens. This position offers excellent opportunities for teaming, leadership, and career advancement to the right candidate.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAs a manager, you will advise on multiple and challenging Regulatory advisory and compliance engagements and to contribute to the delivery of innovative solutions and regulatory planning ideas for our diverse clients.Skills And Attributes For SuccessSupporting the business to identify and reach out to potential clientsUndertaking legal and regulatory research and assess and evaluate the impact of changes in applicable legislation and best international practicesSuggesting and implementing practical and innovative solutions to clients and reaching relevant conclusionsLeading development of recommendations and solution implementation plans and using professional judgment in making informed decisions on complex compliance issuesIdentifying opportunities to sell regulatory advisory and compliance servicesMaintaining effective client relationshipsDeveloping and sustaining strategic relationships with industry stakeholders, including regulators to deliver on client projectsParticipating and assisting in reaching client service team goalsCollaborating on business development initiatives in specific industries targeting practice growthDrafting regulatory alerts, thought leadership materials about changes to legislation and regulations or following policy statements or judgementsCoordinating a program of training and capacity-building activities for the team covering all key areas of compliance and regulatory developmentsIdentifying, understanding, and escalating clients’ compliance risk events/issues in a timely manner and focusing on fixing the root causes of the issues.Monitoring the implementation status of agreed-upon action points aimed at driving complianceManaging clients’ compliance obligationsSupporting clients in regulatory compliance, including the timely preparation and submission of regulatory filings such as annual returns, or a timely response to regulatory circularsTo qualify for the role, you must haveBachelor’s degree in Law (at least a second-class upper division)Minimum of 8 years of relevant regulatory compliance experience or equivalent experience in business or industryExcellent managerial, organizational and communication skillsIdeally, you'll also haveThe ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional services environmentMature, proactive, committed, highly motivated and driven team playerWhat we look forWe're interested in strong team players who support their colleagues in reaching their goals while also considering their own workload and development.
