Job PurposeThe Manager – SAP Financials leads the functional ownership, optimization, and support of SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling (FI/CO) modules, ensuring alignment with NFL’s evolving financial, commercial, and operational needs.This role acts as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to drive digital finance transformation, enhance financial integration, and ensure compliance with internal controls, tax laws, and regulatory requirements. Operating within the SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) and Shared Services Center (SSC) framework, the role supports RISE with SAP governance, integration with enterprise systems, and continuous improvement of finance processes.Job ResponsibilitiesFunctional Leadership & Finance Transformation Lead end-to-end design, configuration, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA FI/CO (GL, AR, AP, AA, CO – Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Product Costing, Internal Orders, COPA). Support Central Finance initiatives for group-level financial consolidation and reporting. Drive process standardization and automation in alignment with CoE governance. Ensure finance processes meet business strategy, control frameworks, and statutory compliance. Project Delivery & Integration Act as the functional lead for finance workstreams in SAP projects, including upgrades, rollouts, and RISE with SAP initiatives. Translate business requirements into functional specifications and oversee implementation with technical teams. Manage integrations between SAP Finance and other modules (MM, SD, PP) as well as external systems (banking, tax portals, e-commerce, BI tools). Collaborate with integration teams on SAP BTP, CPI, and API-led finance data flows. Operational Support & Governance Manage month-end and year-end closing cycles in SAP, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Maintain SAP FI/CO configuration documentation, workflows, and data flow diagrams. Ensure compliance with audit requirements (SOX, IFRS, local tax laws) and maintain effective internal controls. Support SAP license usage reviews for finance-related modules to ensure optimal utilization. CoE/SSC Collaboration Work within the SSC to provide standardized financial support services across the organization. Mentor and upskill junior finance system analysts and end-users. Promote knowledge sharing and cross-training to reduce dependency on external consultants. Innovation & Continuous Improvement Stay updated on SAP innovations such as S/4HANA embedded analytics, AI/ML in finance, and predictive accounting. Identify opportunities for process simplification and finance automation (e.g., RPA, electronic invoicing) Recommend and pilot new capabilities leveraging SAP BTP and advanced analytics. Minimum Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems; professional finance qualification (ACCA, CA, CMA) preferred. 8–10 years of SAP FI/CO experience, with minimum 3 years on S/4HANA. Proven track record in SAP finance configuration, integration, and reporting. Experience with Central Finance, RISE with SAP, and finance transformation projects. Familiarity with FMCG or manufacturing finance processes preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment with tight deadlines. Availability for critical financial period-end support. Commitment to continuous professional development in SAP finance and emerging digital finance tools. Location: Karachi, Head Office
