We are looking at an incumbent to join us as we build a successful business together.As part of your portfolio as Manager: Senior Developer, you will be responsible for.:Building, enhancing, and maintaining product platforms, design and creation of products to meet customer needs and requirements against strategic business objectives.Providing deep technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to lead development projects. This is including the mentoring junior developers, designing complex software architectures, and ensuring high-quality code delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams, requiring proficiency in programming languages, agile methodologies, and a strong understanding of software development lifecycle.Furthermore, you will be responsible for.:Technical Leadership: Leading development teams, providing technical guidance, and making key architectural decisions.Project Management: Overseeing project timelines, ensuring quality standards, and managing development deliverables.Software Design and Development: Designing, developing, and implementing complex software solutionsCode Review and Optimization: Reviewing code for quality and efficiency, identifying areas for improvementTroubleshooting and Debugging: Identifying and resolving complex technical issuesMentorship and Training: Coaching and mentoring junior developersCollaboration: Working effectively with designers, product managers, and other stakeholdersDocumentation: Creating technical documentation and specificationsStaying Updated: Keeping abreast of new technologies and industry trendsThe incumbent must have the following:4-year Engineering/ Business Science (or related) DegreeA recognized software development Certification / Degree / Diploma5+ years of relevant work experience in product design and engineering, preferably in a Fintech or financial services environmentExpertise in JavaScript working with the relevant libraries and technologies (ReactJs, ReactNative, Node.js)Programming frameworks: React, Node.jsExperience with backend programming languages and technologies (Java, Springboot, C#)CI/CD tools in a cloud environment, preferably Azure or AWSDatabase systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)Cloud Native TechnologiesVersion Control (Git or similar version control systems)Understanding of the Fintech ecosystem, players, business models and financial sector or banking industry related best practicesExperience at the management level in the financial sectorExperience in development, prototyping, and initial production of products within the financial sector or banking industryExperience with DevOps and Agile practicesExperience in presenting and providing technical guidance at Technical Review BoardsWhat will give an edge to your application:Understanding of emerging marketsWorked across diverse cultures and geographiesPan Africa multi-cultural experienceReady to make and drive the change with us?
