This dynamic role is perfect for a passionate individual eager to make a tangible impact within the Engineering and Quality (E&Q) organization, where innovation meets environmental stewardship!Core ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the assessments of footprint reduction opportunities in the Engineering and Quality organization and the Sustainable Materials Program.Contribute to building awareness in the Engineering & Quality organization about its environmental footprint.Provide input for the E&Q CO2 footprint reduction roadmap and Sustainable Materials roadmap.Act as LCA/environmental sustainability expert in conversations and information exchange with third parties.Engage with stakeholders across the Engineering & Quality organization to collect information to assess opportunities.Dissemination of assessment results to colleagues in Engineering & Quality.Contribute to the development of assessment methodologies that are new to sustainable materials program.Play your part in our team succeedingIn this role you will be member of the Materials Department in the Engineering and Quality (E&Q) organization. The department is responsible for polymers, master batches and decoration inks. These materials are at the core of LEGO® products.As a result of to the deep involvement of the department in the development of more sustainable materials, the department hosts the environmental assessment functions with the E&Q organization. The ambition of the E&Q organization is to reduce its environmental footprint and thereby support the LEGO Group CO2 reduction target of 37% by 2032.The role is to perform sustainability assessments in initiatives in the E&Q organization and initiatives within the Sustainable Materials Program to reduce our impact on the environment. You will work closely with Project Management functions and the Subject Matter Experts in E&Q to collect information and perform the assessments.Do You Have What It TakesEducation in environmental sciences (or similar engineering degree)Fully capable in English, written and spoken.Proven experience working in a production organization.Proven experience with environmental assessments of manufacturing processes and/or consumer products.Excellent oral and written communicationIt would be beneficial to have experience working in the chemical industry and experience with environmental assessments related to the production and use of plastics.The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
