This is a rare opportunity to lead strategic communications in a high-impact, purpose-driven environment. This is a fully remote role, you must be based in NSW to apply. Applications from overseas/outside of NSW will not be considered. Experience in a similar role at manager level in education is highly desirable. Your new role As Manager, Strategic Communications, you will lead a small, high-performing team to deliver compelling communications that promote the organisation's work to external audiences, particularly across schools and early childhood education settings. You'll drive the development and execution of strategic communication plans, oversee content creation across digital and traditional channels, and ensure alignment with brand and messaging guidelines.You'll also play a key role in audience engagement, using research and analytics to inform communications strategy and support broader organisational goals. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate complex information into accessible, high-quality content. I am looking for someone who has experience managing a team. As this is a huge focus of the role, you will also be required to be hands-on with the workload and help out with various tasks. Key responsibilitiesLead and implement strategic communications initiatives that amplify the organisation's impact.Manage and mentor a small team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.Oversee content development across social media, websites, newsletters, and media.Provide expert communications advice across the organisation.Use audience insights and analytics to inform strategy and improve engagement.Build relationships with stakeholders across the education sector and government.What you'll need to succeedTertiary qualifications in communications, media, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Proven experience in strategic communications, including digital, media relations, and marketing.Strong leadership and team management skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.A collaborative mindset and commitment to excellence.You must be immediately available to start.What you'll get in returnA meaningful role in a national organisation driving positive change in education.Flexible working arrangements and a supportive team culture.
