Job Description

Job Title: Reward & Remuneration Manager (6-Month Contract)Must be immediately available Contract Type: Fixed-Term, 6 MonthsRole PurposeWe are seeking an experienced Reward & Remuneration Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across compensation, benefits, and total rewards during a key transition period. The role will focus on ensuring internal equity, maintaining compliance, managing annual review processes, and driving best-practice reward frameworks that support business performance and employee engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesReward Strategy & GovernanceOversee the design, implementation, and governance of reward and remuneration frameworks.Conduct regular market benchmarking using data to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity.Lead job evaluation processes and maintain salary structures and pay scales.Support business leaders and HR partners with expert advice on reward policies, job grading, and market positioning.Compensation & Benefits AdministrationManage the annual salary review process, including merit and performance adjustments.Administer employee benefits programs, including retirement funds, medical aid, and risk benefits.Partner with finance and HR to manage budgets and cost modelling for compensation and benefits.Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation and internal governance standards.Reward Operations & InsightsOversee participation in salary surveys and analyze data to identify pay trends and improvement opportunities.Manage incentive plans, recognition schemes, and fair pay initiatives.Prepare regular reward dashboards and reporting for senior management.Support global mobility processes and alignment with international reward frameworks.Stakeholder EngagementPartner with HR, Finance, and senior business leaders to communicate reward programs effectively.Build strong internal relationships to promote understanding of reward philosophy and total reward value.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Commerce, Human Resources, Law, or related field.WorldatWork Global Remuneration Practitioner (GRP) certification or equivalent preferred.8+ years’ experience in compensation, benefits, and total rewards within large, complex organisations.Proven experience with Mercer, Remchannel, and Hay Job Evaluation methodologies.Strong understanding of South African labour and tax legislation.Experience managing remuneration for multi-country operations is advantageous.Key CompetenciesStrong analytical and data interpretation skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management.High attention to detail and governance.Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.Collaborative and business-oriented mindset.If you have not heard from us in 2 weeks please consider your application unsuccessful.
