Manager – Virtual Environment

Job DescriptionRole Purpose:Support and maintain the Virtual environment by managing virtual desktops, servers, and resources to ensure system reliability, security, and a seamless user experience.Key Accountabilities:1-Support the day-to-day operations of the VMware environment:Promptly respond to user incidents and service requests related to virtual desktops and servers within agreed SLA.Continuously monitor system health and performanceIdentify and resolve issues proactively to minimize downtime and user impact.2-Manage virtual desktops, servers, and resources:Create and maintain golden images,desktop pools and RDSH applications.Assign and manage virtual servers and VDI components.Opimize resource allocation to enhance performance and user experience.3-Maintain system integrity and compliance:Apply upgrades and patches to ESXi servers, golden images, and VDI components.Perform routine maintenance and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.4-Documentation and share technical knowledge:Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration details, and troubleshooting procedures.Contribute to internal knowledge bases and team collaboration platforms.SkillsTechnical:Basic understanding of VMware Horizon and vSphere and ESXiFamiliar with UAG, Connection Servers, and App VolumesKnowledge of Windows 11 and Windows serversBasic PowerShell scripting (preferred)Soft Skills:Good troubleshooting and communication skillsTeam player with attention to detailAbility to manage tasks within SLA and follow documentation standardsEducationBachelor’s degree in Information Technology , Computer Science or any related field.
