Job Description
Having enjoyed many years of significant double-digit growth, our partner, a European based SaaS business, has attracted significant institutional investment from two of the leading European technology investors. This has enabled an aggressive ‘buy and build’ expansion into new European markets. Some very exciting acquisitions have broadened the product portfolio and customer base.As the company continues to grow, they are hiring a Managing Director to play a key role in building, scaling, and leading their SME and mid-market Business Unit.This part of the business is growing 30% year-on-year and currently accounts for €15M ARR, with over 5000 SME customers. Reporting into the CEO, you will be responsible for managing a team of 170 FTE based internationally across Sales, Operations, Product, HR, and Finance.Key responsibilities will include:Lead and scale the Growth Business Unit to deliver sustained double-digit ARR growth, driving performance across Sales, Operations, Product, HR, and Finance.Own the P&L for the business unit, ensuring commercial targets, profitability, and operational excellence are achieved.Develop and execute the strategic plan to expand market share across SME segments, identifying new opportunities for growth and innovation.Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing international team of 170+ employees, fostering collaboration and accountability across regions.Partner with Product leadership to steer product roadmaps, ensuring market fit and alignment with customer needs and growth objectives.Oversee operational delivery, implementing scalable systems, processes, and best practices to support ongoing expansion.Collaborate with the executive team and investors to shape strategic priorities, provide market insights, and report on performance metrics.Champion customer success and retention, ensuring the business continues to deliver exceptional value to its 5,000+ SME customers.Drive alignment between central functions and local market teams, optimizing performance in a hub-based operating model.Candidate profile Prior experience working for a high growth SaaS company where you have achieved consistent double-digit growth A wealth of experience working with SMB clients in the B2B SaaS space Strong leadership skills, where you have previously managed sales and operations with full P&L responsibility for your business unit or company Experience in an international environment Has steered Product RoadmapsWorked with a Hub environment set-up
