About Suntera.Suntera Global is a leading international provider of fund, corporate and private wealth services, with over 45 years of experience and 550+ specialists supporting a diverse range of industries worldwide, empowering responsible ambition through professional delivery of governance, administration and accounting services, all while focusing on strong relationships and continually evolving to provide the best possible service to clients.About The Role.As the Managing Director of the Bahamas office, you will work with divisional colleagues based across the Group and the Head of Intermediaries, develop and implement strategic plans to achieve growth targets through business development using business contacts, personal network and industry events and other avenues of revenue generationYour Duties Will IncludeBuild and maintain strong, trusted relationships with a broad range of professional intermediaries and industry partners in the Caribbean and the wider Americas.Promote the Suntera brand and our comprehensive suite of private wealth and family office services to identify and cultivate new business opportunities for our Private Wealth DivisionProvide support to divisional heads by leading business development and actively growing market presence through relationships with professional partnersDrive the adoption of the Suntera Group culture and key messages within the regionManage KPIs for Financial, Growth, Client, Team, and Governance, Risk and Compliance, and set business goals to support these key categories while actively measuring progress.Extend business development opportunities through wider international exposure and market reach in the Caribbean and the AmericasBuild strong, trusted relationships with key clients, identifying new opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and through excellent leadership, ensure the delivery of high-quality professional servicesLiaise with industry peers to identify M&A opportunities and/or support target due diligence exercises within the Caribbean and Americas regionDevelop and implement comprehensive annual business strategies and monitor progress against these plans to improve cost efficiency and grow existing and new potential service offeringsPrepare board reports and attend and present at board meetingsProvide leadership and management of day-to-day operationsEnsure premises and operations meet business needsLiaise with the jurisdiction’s regulators and supervisory bodies, providing support and guidance to compliance functions. Involve yourself in key relationships to support client managers on operational client matters where requiredManage local efficiencies and utilization, ensuring resources are available to support the achievement of budgeted divisional revenuesEscalate problems and issues as they arise to the CEO/COO where appropriateCreate and continuously manage the annual budget to ensure that budget targets are met, revenue flows are maximized, and costs are managed effectivelyFoster a team culture and practice of mentorship and collaboration; engage in development conversations, providing regular feedback on team members’ strengths and areas for developmentTake responsibility for appraisals and salary/bonus decisions together with divisional heads (where relevant)Lead and secure a positive culture and work-life balance across the teamLead and inspire the jurisdiction’s commitment to and delivery of the Group’s global ESG initiativesAbout You.Skills and Requirements:STEP qualification with a strong and demonstrable understanding of trust and corporate administrationProven experience as a Managing Director or in another senior management-level position within a top-tier trust services business, private wealth group, or other financial services firmAbility to meet the requirements of the MD/SO1 clearance with the Bahamas regulatorsDemonstrable experience in business development10+ years of experience in a trust or company administration/financial services environmentLatAm market experience would be beneficialStrong leadership skills and a proven track record in delivering a broad range of professional servicesExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
