Location: Dongguan, China (with frequent travel to the US and Germany for business trips)Reporting To: Top ManagementJob Summary: We are seeking an innovative and experienced Head of R&D to lead our product development initiatives for small home appliances. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new product development from concept to launch, conducting market research, and improving existing products. This role requires strong technical expertise in mechatronics/electronics, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end new product development (NPD) from concept design to mass production.
Research and analyze market trends in small home appliances, identifying opportunities for new features and innovations. Evaluate and recommend product upgrades and improvements for existing offerings. Organize feasibility studies for new projects and present findings to top management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Marketing) to ensure successful product launches. Manage R&D budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Travel frequently to the US and Germany for business meetings, supplier visits, and technology scouting. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of R&D experience in rechargeable & motor-driven products (e. g.
, small home appliances, power tools, consumer electronics). Strong technical knowledge in electronics, motor systems, and battery-powered devices. Creative, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset with a track record of successful product launches. Independent, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure. Fluent in English (written & spoken) and proficient in Mandarin. Willingness to travel frequently (30-40% international travel). Additional Consideration: Candidates with less experience (8+ years) may be considered for the R&D Engineering Manager role.
