We Are Recruiting To Fill The Position BelowJob Title: Electrical EngineerLocation: LagosSummary Of ResponsibilitiesTo effectively and efficiently carry out troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repair of Caterpillar generators and associated electrical systems.

This includes, but is not limited to, AVRs, synchronization modules, genset controllers, ATS panels and switchgears, and all related wiring and control devices. This role is strictly focused on equipment fault rectification and system recovery. It does not involve generator operation, monitoring but to ensure smooth operation. The engineer is expected to work with other relevant departments to ensure quick and accurate resolution of issues, reducing downtime and ensuringMain FunctionsInspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical malfunctions in Caterpillar engine-driven generators (Gas & Diesel) and their control systems.

Diagnose and repair faults in AVRs, synchronization modules, genset controllers, ATS units, relays, and associated control wiring. Conduct inspection, load testing, and recommissioning after electrical repairs. Perform control panel modifications, wiring rectifications, and calibration of control logic to meet operational standards. Respond to breakdowns with proper technical assessment and ensure timely restoration of power systems. Coordinate with service teams and site supervisors to ensure fault reporting and repair priorities are aligned with operational needs. Ensure the use of correct spare parts and maintain stock feedback for critical items.

Maintain detailed repair records, including fault diagnosis, rectification steps, replaced parts, and recommendations. Interface with internal departments and customer site teams only on matters directly related to fault identification and repair. Ensure safe use and handling of company tools, test instruments, and vehicles assigned for field work. Report major technical issues to supervisors for escalation and support in accurate technical reporting. Prepare necessary documentation such as repair reports, delivery slips, and SIMS entries to support internal processes and customer communication. RequirementsHND/ First Degree in Electrical Engineering field with 2 years of field experience.
