DescripciónPosition OverviewThe Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high quality, and cost-effectiveness. This team member will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.Responsibilities Process Development and Optimization:Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve production goals, improve quality, and reduce costs.Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and practices to enhance efficiency & productivity.Design and layout manufacturing workstations, equipment, and processes to ensure optimal workflow. Equipment and Tooling Management:Specify and procure manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures.Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment.Work with suppliers to ensure equipment and tooling meet specifications and standards. Production Support:Provide technical support to the production team to resolve manufacturing issues.Conduct root cause analysis of production problems and implement corrective actions. Continuous Improvement:Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement. Project Management:Manage manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Health and Safety:Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the manufacturing environment.Implement safety improvements to reduce risks and prevent accidents.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience (5+ years) in manufacturing, preferably a tier 1 Automotive Supplier.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly, molding, and automation.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)
