We are EATON!What You’ll DoThis position is responsible for supporting plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by developing and suporting maintenance of robust PCBA manufacturing Test processes, and contributing to continuous improvement/cost out initiatives across the Eaton organization, for project assigned to Arad's manufacturing plant.Develops and maintains robust, cost efficient PCBA Manufacturing Test processes and product structures, consistent with lean manufacturing practices and Eaton’s safety standards. Must be mindful of Electronic test processes and Functional test capabilities on new product, i.e. saftey Ligthing product, Fire alarm systems, battery charger.Participates in concurrent engineering efforts with multicultural R&D centers, critical design reviews, Design for manufacturing testability. Contributes to Manufacturing engineering Test strategy, and play book definition and updates with production feedbacks.Influences new product development projects using ProLaunch as a tool to articulate deliverables and a vehicle to commit to schedules, and optimize production test strategy.Define and write manufacturing Test specifications with R&D BUs support, for Tester and toolings at PCBA and Final good level, regardless the manufacturing location (EATON plants or EMS).Design test fixtures both hardware and software including program development quotations, schedules, documentation, validation, and release to production.Responsible for Manufacturing test coverage estimation, for Flying probe test, and PCBA FCT test.Define test impact and workload coming from Modification request in relation with Advanced Manufacturing Engineer and Launch Manager.Propose new Electronic Test technologies and standards suitable to Eaton & customer’s economic environment, for Arad plant assigned projects.Assists in the composition of Capital Appropriation Requests for acquisition of Manufacturing Test equipment to support emerging and existing technologies, for new product introduction or continuous improvement, as required. Assists Eaton Life Safety production plants and EMS support during NPI phase, and mass production, in root cause and failure analysis as required.QualificationsBAC+4, BAC+5 in Electrical engineering/Engineering Technology3+ years working in Test Design EngineeringSkillsKnowledge of Life Safety product – i.e. Safety Lighting, fire alarm system, alarms, emergency solutions, and power electronic Expert in functional electronic manufacturing test processes (ICT, FCT, Dielectric, …) and technical specifications to support facilities competencies and ensure optimized manufacturing test coverageKnowledge in National Instrument® Software like TestStand® or LabVIEW®.
