About The PositionTo contribute to the People & Culture team operational objectives. Work closely with Council's leadership team and employees providing customer service and operational delivery of human resource related services to support employee lifecycle stages (i. e. , recruitment, onboarding, development, engagement, retention, and separation).
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a first point of contact for Human Resources enquiries (customer requests, phone calls) and administer HR Helpdesk. Assist the People & Culture team by providing administration support across all stages of the recruitment process (requisition process, advertising, candidate management, shortlisting, decline, offer, onboarding). Administrate and update business system modules and employee records to accurately reflect employee movements (i. e. , appointments, secondments, higher duties, parental leave, part-time arrangements, flexible work arrangements, separations). Prepare Letters of Offer, Conditions of Employment, and Employment Contract for review and approval by the Human Resources team and other correspondence as required.
Administration of the tasks associated with the employee probation, separation and exit processes. Support the delivery of training and development initiatives. Administer Council's online learning hub. Support the administration of Council's employment engagement activities e. g. Apprenticeships, CadetshipsAssist with administrating the enhancement and implementation of employee engagement programs and initiatives that aim to improve employee's experience and workplace satisfaction. Assist with creating value-centred initiatives to support Council's strategic objectives. Assist with coordinating employee recognition programs and initiatives in accordance with Council policy. Assist with administrating employee surveys and feedback initiatives.
Contribute to the continual development and implementation of HR operational and administrative systems, processes and procedures, relating to the duties, responsibilities and functions of the work unit to improve service delivery.
