Job Description

Join a high-impact technical team as a Marine Technical Inspector (Mechanical). You will plan and supervise vessel repairs, maintenance, dockings and modifications—keeping assets compliant, reliable and on budget/schedule while supporting continuous improvement and sustainability upgrades.What you’ll do:Organise and control R&M for assigned vessels; coordinate day-to-day technical support with crews, yards and vendors.Plan and manage dockings, project modifications and investment projects (scope, schedule, cost, risk, HSE).Ensure compliance with flag, class and IMO requirements; liaise with surveyors and authorities; keep documentation/audits ship-shape.Prepare scopes, budgets and schedules; raise proposals and approvals; track execution and close-out.Drive reliability & sustainability improvements (e.g., hybridisation/efficiency initiatives) and maintain accurate technical histories.What you bring:BSc/MSc in Marine Technology, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.3+ years relevant experience (offshore, dredging, shipbuilding or marine operations).Solid knowledge of classification rules, flag state and IMO regulations.Proven coordination of vendors/service engineers and supervision of installation/commissioning.Strong planning/budget control, documentation discipline and clear English communication.Willing to travel (~20%) to vessels, shipyards and sites.
