Job Vacancy – Marketing and Communications Coordinator (Part-Time)We’re looking for a dynamic marketing & communications professional with a passion for the Arts and Heritage to join our friendly team.Managing the day-to-day marketing, the role will be responsible for creating content and digital activities to increase visitors, advertise exhibitions and events, and promote retail, hospitality and fundraising schemes.The successful candidate will also be responsible for building our brand profile and reputation through delivery of compelling communications to help us reach our stakeholders and engage with key audiences.Key Tasks:Develop and deliver campaigns to support audience and programme development priorities.Promote retailing, fundraising and other income generation opportunities.Lead on PR and communications to raise the Whitaker’s profile with key audiences and stakeholders.Create marketing assets for use across digital channels and non digital channels.Monitor, update and adapt the website.Manage social media channels, create engaging social media content.Take the lead on the production of visual and video content.Plan, create and monitor email campaigns & newsletters.Grow and develop The Whitaker database with a focus on customer relationship Promote and support events.Prepare and share marketing analytics, reporting marketing effectiveness to colleagues and stakeholders.Proactively identify areas of marketing development and growth and share them with the Management team.Support the Volunteer Coordinator in training volunteers to enrich volunteer experience by supporting marketing and communications.Support wider activities and projects at the Whitaker Museum when appropriate.Engage in continued professional development & undertake any training as required.All members of the team must also carry out regular Duty Manager tasks, taking responsibility for opening and closing the museum, briefing volunteers and dealing with day to day queries and issues that may arise.
