Total streaming of Pocket FM audio series now tops 4 billion minutes monthly.About the RoleWe’re seeking a Marketing & Community Lead to build, grow, and engage Pocket FM’s community of listeners. This role combines strategic marketing, community-building, and storytelling. The ideal candidate is someone who knows how to grow passionate creator ecosystems and turn them into vibrant, self-sustaining communities.What You’ll DoCommunity Strategy: Build and manage programs to attract, retain, and engage fans of UGC content across multiple channels (Discord, newsletters, social media, and events).Content Marketing: Highlight our slate of exciting UGC content to drive listener adoption of the app and consumption of the content. Brand Voice & Storytelling: Shape messaging and campaigns that highlight top content, writer success stories, platform opportunities, and creator journeys.Campaign Execution: Plan and launch both on- and off-platform marketing campaigns to drive listener adoption, retention, content consumption + engagement.Events & Activations: Host contests, events and activations to educate and energize the community. Identify and attend fan-centric events to evangelize the app. Community Management: Drive community engagement in-app to retain an active user base and facilitate direct communication between writers and listeners. Product Insight: Advocate for product features, messaging, and content that drives meaningful improvements in community activity in-app. Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the community internally, sharing insights with product, content, and operations teams.Drive Brand Awareness: Support the broader brand team to implement creative marketing initiatives to strengthen brand visibility, reach new audiences, and establish our platform as a leading destination for audio storytelling and fandom culture.Drive User Acquisition: Leverage community insights, creator collaborations, and data-driven strategies to boost engagement, retention, and platform adoption.What We’re Looking For5+ years of experience in creator marketing, community management, or audience development.Proven experience growing communities around content, fandom, or storytelling.Strategic and hands-on mindset, comfortable running campaigns end-to-end.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong passion for stories, fandoms culture, and empowering creative voices.Experience in product marketing is a plus. Experience with platforms such as Wattpad, Webnovel, Tapas, Radish, Dreame, Goodnovel, Kakao, Crazy Maple, or Inkitt/Galatea TV is a major bonus.Deep understanding of platform trends, algorithms, and best practices across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Discord, etc.Experience analyzing community metrics, marketing KPIs, and user behavior to inform strategy and optimize campaignsRole DetailsLocation: Los Angeles, CA preferred (Remote considered)Term: Full-timeCompensation: $80k-$120k AnnuallyYou can get more updates, insights and everything behind the scenes at Pocket FM here - https://xtra.pocketfm.com/
