Marketing Manager - Twisted Fig RestaurantOverviewTwisted Fig Restaurant is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead our efforts in expanding our client base, boosting our online and offline presence, and significantly increasing large group bookings for special events like birthdays and weddings. A crucial new focus will be the strategic marketing of our on-site accommodation to tour companies and travel agents.The ideal candidate will be creative, strategic, and possess a deep understanding of both traditional and digital marketing within the hospitality industry.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy and PlanningDevelop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies focused on driving foot traffic, online reservations, large event bookings, and accommodation occupancy.Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive activity in the local restaurant, events, and boutique accommodation markets.Manage the marketing budget effectively to maximize ROI across all campaigns.Offline and Local MarketingCoordinate local partnerships and collaborations to increase brand visibility.Oversee the design and distribution of physical marketing materials (menus, flyers, posters) for promotions and events.Plan and execute in-house events and promotional activities to attract new clientele and media attention.Digital Marketing and Online PresenceManage and grow the restaurant's presence across all social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok).Develop engaging content, including photography and short-form video, to showcase the dining experience and event spaces.Posting relevant information to whatsapp groups in Kilifi. Manage the restaurant's website, ensuring up-to-date information and a seamless user experience.Implement SEO/SEM strategies to improve online visibility and drive web traffic.Event and Large Booking GenerationSpecifically develop and launch targeted campaigns to attract large bookings for birthdays, weddings, and corporate events.Collaborate with the Events Coordinator to create compelling marketing packages and materials for event spaces.Track and analyze the effectiveness of event-focused marketing initiatives.Accommodation Marketing and PartnershipsDevelop and manage relationships with key tour operators, travel agents, and corporate booking platforms.Create targeted promotional materials (digital and print) for the accommodation, highlighting unique selling points and package deals.Identify and Represent Twisted Fig at relevant travel industry trade shows and networking eventsReporting and AnalysisMonitor, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns using relevant metrics (e.g., social engagement, website traffic, conversion rates, booking volume, accommodation bookings).Provide regular updates to the management team on marketing performance and future plans.Qualifications & SkillsMinimum 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the hospitality, food & beverage, or travel/accommodation industry.Proven ability to develop and execute both digital and traditional marketing campaigns.Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.Software Proficiency - Proficient in social media management tools, email marketing platforms, and basic design software (Canva). Experience with Google docs and sheets. Strategic thinker, highly organized, creative, and passionate about the restaurant and hospitality industry.This role is full time in KilifiRemuneration - 50,000ksh a month gross with commission and progression discussed on contract signing.
