POSITION SUMMARY:The Commercial Manager for Marketplaces is responsible for the full management of the company’s e-commerce business on platforms such as Mercado Libre, Amazon, and other marketplaces, ensuring the achievement of profitability (P&L), sales growth, brand positioning, and operational excellence.This role leads cross-functional coordination (marketing, logistics, pricing, customer service, and operations) to guarantee flawless execution aligned with the company’s overall commercial strategy.RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Business Management and P&L OwnershipLead the commercial and financial strategy for marketplace channels, acting as direct owner of the P&L.Analyze margins, operating costs, logistics expenses, and advertising ROI.Design and execute pricing, promotional, and discount strategies focused on sustainable profitability.Develop sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to monitor business health and financial efficiency.2. Commercial and Growth StrategyDefine growth targets by channel, category, and product line.Develop and implement commercial plans to drive market share, visibility, and product positioning.Execute digital merchandising strategies to maximize visibility and conversion (SEO optimization, A+ content, reviews management, etc.).Identify and evaluate opportunities for expansion into new marketplaces or geographies.3. Catalog and Content ManagementEnsure an optimized and up-to-date product catalog, maintaining accurate and compelling information.Supervise the creation of product listings, images, titles, attributes, and descriptions following marketplace best practices.Coordinate with product and marketing teams to ensure brand consistency across all platforms.4. Operations and LogisticsOversee fulfillment processes, inventory levels, delivery times, and overall customer experience.Work closely with supply chain and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock availability and prevent stockouts.Drive continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and operations (own fulfillment, FBA/FBM, Full by Mercado Libre, etc.).5. Cross-Functional Leadership and ReportingCollaborate with marketing, finance, and operations teams to align marketplace performance with company objectives.Present periodic business reviews, sales dashboards, and performance insights to senior leadership.Manage key relationships with marketplace account managers and external partners.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field (MBA is a plus).5+ years of experience managing e-commerce or marketplace operations (Mercado Libre, Amazon, Liverpool Marketplace, etc.).Strong analytical and financial acumen (P&L management, ROI analysis, pricing).Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) preferred.Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.Advanced English proficiency (oral and written).
