Job DescriptionJP Morgan is looking for an Analyst to join the Global Commodities Group based in Mumbai. This Analyst will be an integral part of the Asia Pacific Sales team and will be a key member supporting the existing business as well as growth and expansion in new markets & products. The role will focus on the global metals markets supporting JP Morgan’s corporate clients all over Asia.This is an exciting opportunity for a driven salesperson to join a global sales desk specializing in the metals markets.As an Analyst within the Commodities Sales Team, you will be responsible for supporting APAC Sales with marketing, origination, pre- and post-trade activities, market research, and pricing analysis. You will prepare marketing materials, generate trade ideas, and assist with operational requirements. Your role includes internal liaison across various groups with limited client interaction in select domiciles. You will ensure accurate data management and help resolve trade-related discrepancies. This position is a vital part of the growth strategy of JPM’s APAC Commodities business.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare and distribute general market updates and marketing materials to Sales teamsProvide market colour and sectoral studies Conduct research and analysis on market and industry landscapes, and specific client profilesGenerate new trade ideas and support ideation of trade structures for Sales teamsBuild pitch books, presentations, and sample models in Excel for SalesInput and manage data in internal systems as required by SalesLiaise internally with legal, control rooms, and operations to support pre-trade activitiesBack-test performance of new trades and support pricing for various asset classesAssist with syndication of pre-booking operational requirementsUpload, update, and manage executed trades in internal systemsPrepare indicative term sheets and product documentation for executed tradesRequired Qualifications, Skills And CapabilitiesBachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related fieldStrong analytical and quantitative skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail and accuracy in documentationUnderstanding of financial products (FXO, Rates, Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities)Strong problem-solving skillsHigh level of integrity and professionalismDemonstrated interest in global financial marketsPreferred Qualifications, Skills And CapabilitiesExperience in a financial services support roleFamiliarity with operations of a bankKnowledge of market research tools and techniquesExposure to pricing vanilla and exotic solutionsExperience with client-facing activitiesAdvanced Excel or data visualization skillsAbout UsJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
