A Snapshot of Your DayYou will work within the Global Technical Master Data team, optimizing the quality and standard conformity of our material data in the area of metallic semi-finished products and corresponding norm parts. You help to define measures for harmonization and quality improvement in coordination with the factories and implement them as a team. Your steady exchange with the experts in materials, systems and database drives the progress.How You’ll Make An ImpactYou work in the material field of metals and norm parts and take on the challenge of co-creating a global material base that does not yet exist.You support the identification of possible areas of action for your material field and make suggestions for its further optimization.According to specification and your knowledge in this material field, you will improve the data quality and classification in the material master as well as help to monitor its compliance.Shared consistent data is our future, so you place special emphasis on clarity and drive harmonization.We are only successful together, which is why you work as part of a team of materials experts, supported by specialists in PLM systems, databases and data analysis.You and we create real added value for the sites of Siemens Energy Grid Technologies.What You BringBachelor's degree in materials science, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experienceKnowledge of the mechanical-technological properties of metallic materials and their impact in Engineering application.Experience in dealing with standards for semi-finished products and norm parts.Basic knowledge of construction; knowledge of transformers, high voltage parts or switchgear is desirable.Knowledge with BOM structure and PDM systems (Windchill/Teamcenter).You are familiar with the use of CAD programs (Creo/NX).Analytical thinking, independent way of workingProficient in spoken and written EnglishAbout The TeamOur Grid Technologies division enables a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid.
