SpA Piacenza SiteRESPONSABILITIES:Manage a dedicated list of suppliers and plan material requirements in line with production schedules using the MRP system (Material Requirements Planning)Analyze weekly order programs generated automatically by the systemCoordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and proactively prevent shortages on production linesMonitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure reliability, handling first-level escalation of supply issuesCollaborate with Production, Logistics, and Quality teams to align material availability with production needs and manage production or supply-related scrapWork closely with the Purchasing department to manage supply parameters such as lead times, MOQ, Incoterms, etc.Define supply planning parameters for new orders and issue purchase requests accordinglyMaintain and set accurate planning parameters to support a standardized planning processCollaborate with the PBOM (Product Bill of Materials) team to review BOMs and manage phase-in/phase-out processesManage shipments through the Supplier PortalMaintain accurate inventory records and generate detailed reports for management reviewImplement inventory management strategies to avoid both shortages and excess stockIdentify opportunities for inventory optimization, cost reduction, and process improvementsBACKGROUND:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, industrial engineering or a related fieldProven experience (2+ years) in material planning, supply chain, procurement, or production planningKnowledge of vehicle BOMs to evaluate alternative solutions in terms of assembly and procurementProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas), SAP and other data analysis toolsExperience with inventory management, forecasting, and material flow optimizationKnowledge of Incoterms, lead times, MOQ management, and supplier KPIs is highly valuedContinuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn new tools and processAbility to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholdersFluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages is a plus
