Join ABB Robotics as our new star Material Planning Manager and take charge of securing global material flows that power our production and helps us deliver excellent products on time to our customers!In this role, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for securing material availability from a global supplier base to our Robotics factory in Västerås. Your mission is to ensure smooth production flow and high on-time delivery (OTD) to customers by driving excellence in supply planning, inventory optimization, and supplier collaboration.You will work in a fast-paced, international, and collaborative environment with external and internal key stakeholders across local and global supply chain teams (Sweden, China, US), production, and planning functions.You will be based in Västerås and the work model for the role is onsite.Responsibilities:Ensure material availability and on-time delivery from our supplier base to the factory in Västerås, proactively managing risks and resolving deviations in demand and supply.Manage approximately 11 direct reports in Sweden, and as second line manager you will lead a team in Estonia.Provide visibility of supply capacity and local supply objectives into the Sales and Operations Planning process.Manage and develop inventory strategies to optimize balance between material availability, flexibility and inventory turnover.Ensure compliance with the customs regulations for imports and exports, and operational transport supplier management.Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance, planning processes, and cross-functional collaboration.Qualifications For The RoleProven experience in purchasing, supply chain or related fields from a manufacturing industry is required; Management experience is a strong plus.You are result-oriented, analytical, action-oriented with strong communication skills.You have a passion for managing external business relationships and negotiations in a global context.Proficiency in Excel (or other similar tools) and working knowledge of SAP.University degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, economics or quality is preferred.Swedish and English is mandatory and highly necessary for this position, along with great verbal and written communication skills.What's in it for you?We empower you to take initiative, challenge ideas, and lead with confidence.
