Opportunity: Material Engineer Our esteemed organization is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Material Engineer To ensure all construction materials used in the project comply with approved specifications, standards, and project requirements. The Material Engineer is responsible for reviewing, testing, and approving all materials and ensuring quality control throughout all phases of construction.Position: Senior Electrical EngineeringLocation: AL Jawf Region, Saudi ArabiaKey Responsibilities:1. Material Review & ApprovalReview and evaluate material submittals, data sheets, and technical specifications from contractors and suppliers.Verify compliance of proposed materials with project specifications, standards, and design requirements.Prepare and maintain a material approval log and follow up with contractors and suppliers for compliance.Coordinate with design engineers to ensure material compatibility with structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.2. Testing & Quality AssuranceSupervise material sampling, testing, and inspections in coordination with third-party laboratories.Review laboratory test reports (soil, concrete, asphalt, steel, aggregate, etc.) to ensure compliance with standards.Evaluate and approve concrete mix designs, asphalt mix designs, and other material compositions.Conduct field and laboratory inspections to verify quality of materials delivered and used on site.Maintain records of test results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.3. Site Supervision & CoordinationMonitor and control material quality during all stages of construction.Coordinate with site engineers to ensure only approved materials are used in the works.Conduct site inspections to verify material storage, handling, and protection procedures.Participate in site coordination meetings and provide updates on material-related issues.Assist in resolving material-related technical problems and propose alternative solutions when needed4. Documentation & ReportingPrepare material compliance reports, inspection requests, and technical memos.Maintain updated records of approved materials, suppliers, and test certificates.Prepare periodic quality reports for submission to the Project Manager or client.Ensure that all documentation complies with ISO and QA/QC management systems.5. Standards & Codes KnowledgeFamiliar with local and international standards related to materials testing and specifications, such as:ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, BS, SASO, SBC, ISO standards.Local authority requirements (Municipality, MOT, Civil Defense, NWC, etc.). 6. Software & ToolsProficient in:AutoCAD – for reviewing and marking up material-related drawings.Microsoft Excel / Word / PowerPoint – for preparing reports and documentation.LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) – for tracking material tests and results (if applicable).QCS / QC Documentation Systems – for project quality management. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Arch/Elec/Mech Engineering from a recognized university.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.Minimum 15 years of documented engineering experience, including at least 5 years as a Consultant Airports Project Manager in the Gulf region.Strong skills in scheduling, risk evaluation, and contract management.Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.Fluent in English (both spoken and written).Valid Saudi residency (Iqama) and driving license if is not Saudi.Ready to join immediately.Face to face interview will be conducted with the client in AL Jawf Region.
