Materials Operations Manager

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Materials Operations Manager at our Los Angeles site location!With almost 300 employees, the Los Angeles facility designs and manufactures quality valves, regulators, and other fluid controls used mostly by the Aerospace Industry.The expected annual salary range for this role is $125000 - $183000 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What You’ll DoThe Material Operations Manager is responsible for managing the internal materials & scheduling processes required inside an Eaton factory in order to drive the maximum adherence to the Master Production Schedule provided by the Network Planning team through the SIOP process. This role is a point of contact to escalations related to execution of the overall SIOP plan.This Role Is Responsible For The Following Core ProcessesScheduling production in the short term horizon based on the S&OE processesMaintaining Inventory Accuracy through accurate cycle countingMovement of materials through the facilityInternal receipts, storage, distribution and transportationManage logistics activities for the siteJob Responsibilities: Managing materials flow and transactions inventory to support the plant’s operations by deploying lean material flow. Administration of Indirect and MRO purchasing function according to policies and practices determined by Eaton standards.Generating short-term production scheduling aligned the plan defined by the NetworkMonitoring execution of production schedule defined by the Network ( schedule labor on factory floor, monitor execution of the production plan)Escalation of of material availability to the COE and Network teamsDrive forecast attainment aligned with the MPS resulted from the SIOP planExecute shipment schedule aligned with the customer priority dates aligned with the network and customer service team.Champion and deploy continuous improvement leveraging tools such as internal assessments ( MMA,OPA), visual management, standard work and value stream mappingMaintaining target inventory levels and meeting OTD goals for both internal and external customers and overall freight targets (including premium freight) aligned with the plan defined by the networkResponsible for plant owned data health activities including but not limited to routings and WMS system, MRO, shipping and receiving, part movements, production scheduling QualificationsRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution Minimum five (5) years’ combined experience in Materials, Operations and/or Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environmentMinimum three (3) years of manager of people experienceThis position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.Candidate must presently reside within 50 miles of Los Angeles area, zip code 90039.
