We're seeking a detail-oriented Materials Planner to manage critical supply relationships and ensure seamless production flow. This is a unique opportunity to shape and drive our planning systems through startup, first manufacture, and production ramp-up of our new facility.Key ResponsibilitiesManage vendor schedules and purchase orders for active ingredients, raw materials, and packagingBuild knowledge on portfolio of productsMonitor and maintain optimal safety stock levelsCoordinate with suppliers to secure delivery commitmentsTrack and report vendor OTIF performanceCreate and manage purchase orders aligned with demandHandle supplier complaints systemOptimize stock levels across multiple locationsParticipate in manufacturing review meetingsManage artwork change impacts on productionSupport new product introductionsCoordinate with 3rd party warehousing and logistics providersQualificationsQualifications and Required ExperienceDegree in logistics, business, or supply chain (or equivalent experience)Strong SAP/ERP system knowledgeProven problem-solving abilitiesStrong organizational and attention to detail skillsOutstanding communication and teamwork capabilitiesExperience in supply chain processesAbility to adapt quickly to demand changesAdditional InformationSite DetailsSyngenta's Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre is one of our two award-winning manufacturing sites in the UK. The site was founded in 1919 and today employs nearly 400 skilled people in a variety of roles that include manufacturing, engineering, scientific and production support. Our goal is to operate “safely, reliably and cost effectively” and to help growers protect their crops and increase their yield.At Syngenta Grangemouth we have four plants dedicated to active ingredient (AI) manufacture, and one formulation and packaging plant.
