Our client is an international EPC contractor and a recognized leader in the construction of energy infrastructure and large-scale Oil & Gas projects.We are currently seeking a Material Specialist to join a major gas pipeline project in Germany.Role SummaryThe Material Specialist will be responsible for managing, planning, and controlling all project materials and components required for the pipeline construction. The role involves close coordination with Procurement, Construction, and Quality teams to ensure material availability, compliance, and full traceability throughout all project phases.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of project materials.Ensure materials meet all technical specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations.Manage documentation and traceability records (material certificates, test reports, data books).Support the Procurement team with supplier follow-up and material delivery tracking.Monitor material requirements and optimize inventory levels based on project progress.Collaborate with Construction, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure proper material handling and safety compliance.Participate in coordination meetings and contribute to material management reporting.RequirementsMinimum 3–5 years’ experience in similar roles within oil & gas, pipeline, or large-scale construction projects.Strong knowledge of material specifications and international standards (API, ASTM, EN, ISO).Experience with material management systems or ERP tools (SAP or equivalent).Good command of English and German (both written and spoken); knowledge of Italian is a plus.Strong teamwork, organizational, and problem-solving skills in multicultural project environments.Availability for relocation or long-term assignment in Germany during the project execution phase.What We OfferThe opportunity to be part of a major strategic energy infrastructure project in Europe.Dynamic and international working environment with strong professional development prospects.
