Math Teacher / Private Homeschooling

About The RoleWe are seeking a warm, experienced Math Teacher to support a private homeschool setting for two children aged 4 and 6. This is an in-person, part-time role based in the Presidio neighborhood of San Francisco. Your goal will be to nurture early math skills through engaging, hands-on learning experiences tailored to each child’s pace and curiosity.ResponsibilitiesTeach foundational math skills including counting, basic arithmetic, patterns, shapes, and measurementsDesign creative, age-appropriate math activities that encourage play, exploration, and confidenceSupport both independent and guided learning tailored to each childTrack student engagement and adapt lesson strategies as neededMaintain a positive and encouraging classroom environmentRequirementsAround 3+ years of experience teaching early childhood or elementary mathBackground in education, math instruction, or a related fieldExperience with play-based, Montessori, or Waldorf-inspired approaches a plusClear communication, patience, and a child-centered mindsetAvailable to teach in person in the Presidio, San FranciscoMust be eligible to work in the United StatesSchedule & PayTime Commitment: 1 hour/day, Monday–FridaySchedule: Flexible between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PMPay: $75/hourStart: Flexible, ideally in the coming weeksInclusion StatementWe value educators from all walks of life and welcome diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
