MATRIX is looking for an experienced Automotive or Commercial Transport Mechanic to support ongoing maintenance and repair of our equipment, trucks, generators, all engine types (2 cycle and up). This is a full-time salaried position based in Osoyoos, BC. Hiring preference will be given to residents of Osoyoos and the surrounding area. Responsibilities: Fleet of Ford F-350/F-550, fleet of 20/30/40-foot electric brake big Tex trailers, Caterpillar yard loader (950g), Merlo zoom boom, mobile generators (diesel) for remote camps, small gens, Honda etc.
, snow machines, Side x Sides, ATV's, chainsaws (gas), core saws (electric)Overhauls on Bombardier snowcatsKeeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization proceduresCorrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; adjusting and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction unitsVerifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systemsOversee vehicle appearance by cleaning and washingMaintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairsKeeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairsMust be willing to work in the shop and field conditionsKeeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receiptFacilitate and or participate in daily toolbox meetingsEnsure work environment meets corporate safety practicesReport unsafe conditions to immediate supervisorUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publicationsEnhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentsRequirementsRequired Licensing & Certifications:
