We’re working with a well-regarded international organisation looking to add a Legal Counsel to their in-house Legal team. This is a great opportunity for a recently qualified lawyer — particularly those coming from corporate or funds teams — who’s keen to step into a commercially focused in-house role. You’ll be working closely with directors and senior stakeholders across the business, gaining exposure to a wide range of legal and operational matters. It would suit someone ready to make that first move in-house or someone already in a regulated environment looking for broader experience within a global business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide legal advice and support to directors and senior managementDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, contracts, and internal documentationAdvise on legal and regulatory matters affecting the business, ensuring compliance with applicable laws in all operating locationsSupport internal licensing processes and assist with regulatory applications and renewalsContribute to strategic projects and internal initiatives from a legal perspectiveLiaise with external counsel where required and manage legal input into cross-border mattersProactively identify legal risks and opportunities, offering mitigation strategies and solutionsKeep abreast of changes in relevant legislation and industry regulations, updating policies and stakeholders accordinglyQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Lawyer with some post-qualification experience, ideally in a commercial law firm or in-house legal teamCorporate / funds law experience / prior in-house legal experienceSKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES: Confidence in advising senior stakeholders and navigating cross-jurisdictional challengesA commercial mindset and a proactive, solutions-focused approachExcellent interpersonal and communication skills
