McConway And Torley Is Hiring For a Storeroom Lead. In This Position You Will Manage The Activities Of a Storeroom Or Warehouse, Including Inventory, Storage, And Equipment. You May Also Supervise Lower-level Staff And Help Develop Policies And Procedures.
Some Of Your Key Activities Will IncludeLeading the storeroom setupInitiating Bar Coding and Managing Min-Max levelsAssigning work to employees, estimating stock needs, and setting stock levelsTraining, and evaluating employees Conducting regular inventory checks, maintaining records, and communicating results to managersEnsuring shipments and finished goods are stored in an orderly mannerPreparing purchase requests, requisitions, and delivery date requestsOperation of forklift, company vehicles, and utilization of fall protectionConduct Quality inspections as neededon incoming inventoryLocation:
Pittsburgh, PAQualificationsMust be able to perform work while wearing all required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a filtering face pieceAt all times possessing the physical qualifications necessary to perform said tasks; This includes, but is not limited to, having no pulmonary restrictions which would prevent the use of a filtering face piece Must be able to operate forklift and control the movement of the lifting apparatusKnowledge of workstations, loading and storage requirement of materials Regular and predictable attendance is requiredAbility to function as a team memberMust have a valid driver’s licenseBilingual a plus but must speak EnglishWorking ConditionsWork environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidaysAbility to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plantSafety ActivitiesBe aware of and observe all safety practices.
